I have undertaken a recent project, which entailed producing layouts for a book my uni produces named "S book". This years topic is on 'designers who like to say no', basically political graphic design. I have to say, generally im pretty bad with type and layout, much more concept based and I found this project hard. It took many tweaks and redesigning before I was reasonably happy with some of these layouts. This one is the intro to Barbara Krugers interview. Fortunately im not working on the main project!
Nice, I'm not sure I like the left and right aligned text in the columns, I'd be tempted to go for justified text instead. Something about the alignment of the "AD" in BAD bugs me a little, but I'm probably being overly fussy. Very nice job, it doesn't look like you struggle with typography at all .
Yeah this was one of the layouts i discarded in the end, I was being different to my usual style but wasnt as succesful as I would have hoped. I didnt even consider justified type for this layout so that was interesting you pointed that out, thank you for being constructive, its a rare thing!!!!
